I’m a friendly, down-to-earth person centred counsellor who believes everyone should have a space where they can just be themselves without feeling judged. I know it’s not always easy to open up, so I try to keep things relaxed and comfortable, going at a pace that feels right for you. I’m registered with the BACP and uphold their ethics.
I work alongside people facing all kinds of challenges whether that’s anxiety, relationship struggles, loss, or simply trying to make sense of things. My aim is to truly listen, understand your experience, and support you in a way that feels real, warm, and not clinical. I work with a range of products and will always tailor the session to what the client needs. We may not always be talking! We may draw too!
I have a particular passion for neurodivergence, as it’s something I relate to personally and see as a real strength. I also have a strong interest in supporting people who experience health anxiety, helping them find ways to feel more at ease and in control.
Outside of work, I love getting out for walks with my dog Rupert, especially somewhere with a cute coffee shop or pub at the end! I’m also a big fan of country music, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit Nashville a few times (and get married there!) it’s a place that just feels full of warmth and good energy and will always have my heart. If Ive got any spare time left you’ll find me line dancing or looking way too deeply into a series on Netflix!
That same relaxed, real approach is what I bring into my counselling, so you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking things through in your own way.
My prices start at £45 and I do offer discounts for consessions and group bookings. Please contact stateofmental@gmail.com to book or for more information
