Counselling

As a registered member of the BACP, I’m a friendly, down-to-earth, person-centred counsellor, but before that I am a real person, who believes everyone deserves a space where they can simply be themselves, without fear of judgement. Life can feel overwhelming at times.

Whether you’re struggling with family or friendship difficulties, work pressures, relationship problems, negative thoughts, or simply feeling stuck, counselling can give you the space to talk openly about what’s really going on. I know how difficult it can be to feel judged, misunderstood, or worry that someone won’t really “get it”. That’s why I want my sessions to feel warm, relaxed and comfortable. You don’t have to have the right words, have everything figured out, or be the “best version” of yourself. You can laugh, cry, sit in silence, or swear if that’s what you need! I use different therapeutic approaches and tailor our sessions to you, your needs and what you want to achieve.

My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you. I have a particular interest in supporting people who struggle with negative thinking and that harsh, self-critical inner voice that can have such a big impact on how we see ourselves and our lives. I also enjoy helping people work through difficult experiences or life events that have left them feeling stuck or unable to move forward. My aim is to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, gently untangle those thoughts, and find a way forward that feels right for you. Outside of counselling, you’ll usually find me in my garden, pottering around outside, or by the sea enjoying the fresh air, listening to the waves and taking some quiet time to reset.

Taking that first step isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’d like to book a session or have any questions, please get in touch at ceriwedlockcounselling@yahoo.com. I’d love to hear from you. You can also find me on Instagram and Facebook, where I share more about my counselling work, thoughts and helpful tips.

No judgement. No pretending. Just a space where you can be you.
